Our owner, Sandra Rouse, RN, BSN, has more than 20 years of experience in the nursing field. She is a longtime homeowner who is fully invested in positive outcomes for all clients. She loves the diversity of our area, and fully embraces it by having nursing staff from all over the world.
Ms. Rouse began her healthcare career as a medicine aid. She provided care to individuals at long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and also provided in-home care. Ms. Rouse later obtained her CNA certification to further her experience and knowledge in the industry.
To further expand her education in the nursing field, Ms. Rouse attended University of D.C., one of the country's well-known Historically Black Colleges. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and began her career as a staff nurse at D.C. General Hospital. During this time, Ms. Rouse was able to indulge in her passion for the under-served community and help become a voice for those who could not speak for themselves. She served and gave back to the community with deep compassion and genuine kindness. Later, while working as a nurse at a facility in Montgomery Village, Ms. Rouse helped start a CNA program to provide quality and proper education to those seeking nurse assistant certification.
Today, her passionate vision soars as she continues to serve the community. Through her agencies, Sandra's Nursing Services, LLC, and My Sister's Place, LLC, she is further able to demonstrate her genuine, caring nature to ensure all clients receive the quality care they need. With such a vast level of knowledge and experience, Ms. Rouse's interest in serving the community is not professionally influenced, but is instead deeply rooted in personal experience and pure concern for others. She has cared for ailing family members, friends, the disabled, the elderly, and still believes she has so much more to offer!
